YSoft Launch the worlds most universal HF RFID Reader

YSoft USB HF RFID Reader

YSoft have this week launched a new High Frequency RFID reader that they claim is the most universal reader on the market, reading over 100 protocols. YSoft specialise in Digital transformation solutions with an offering of hardware and software products, with the YSoft MFX Ultimate Reader being their latest hardware product. Founded in 2000, and based in Brno, Czech Republic, YSoft claim to have sold over half a million readers into the market making them an established name in High Frequency RFID reader hardware.

YSoft claim that this new product is unique in that it is the only product on the market that combines mobile (NFC), HID and Legic readers into one device, this means that the same reader can decrypt most High Frequency RFID tags on the market and switches seamlessly between technologies.

The YSoft MFX Ultimate Reader overcomes the technological issues of combining card and mobile reading chips into one device allowing companies to move from cards to mobile-first authentication with the same reader. Replacing the need for users to authenticate using multiple cards, it is now possible to simply use the mobile device they already have in their pocket.

“We are very proud of our extended range of readers. We believe that the addition of the YSoft MFX Ultimate Reader brings a level of sophistication that proves our dedication to offering the best in fast, secure, and robust authentication. The product-lifetime warranty serves as the hallmark of our commitment. By offering distributors, manufacturers, and end-users a one-stop-shop for their RFID and contact reader needs, we can help guarantee that reliability is hardcoded into our range”

Marcel Fejtek, COO, YSoft

An interesting addition to the product offering is a free product-lifetime warranty. This will provide security for implementors of their technology to ensure longevity of projects. They have managed to achieve a level of confidence in their products through extensive testing and data from existing hardware devices in the market showing that they have over 2.5 million hours of mean time between failures (MTBF), which they claim is five times more robust than competitors.

The YSoft MFX range comes with easy to deploy USB plug and play technology, with the reader emulating a keyboard, a small footprint of less than a credit card in size, with mounting kit and cables included with all models in the range. The only thing we can see that might be missing from this model that could be an additional feature is Bluetooth.
